Shaving Guide

YOUR FIRST
SHAVE.

5 steps to a barber-quality shave

01
Prepare Your Skin

Wash your face with warm water or shave after a hot shower. Warm water softens the hair and opens the pores, making the cut cleaner and smoother.

Apply a shaving gel or foam and let it sit for 30 seconds before shaving.
02
Hold the Razor Correctly

Hold the handle between your thumb and first two fingers. Keep the blade at a 30-degree angle to your skin — not flat, not steep. The gold pivot screw should point away from your face.

A shallow angle gives a closer shave. A steep angle causes irritation.
03
Short, Controlled Strokes

Use short downward strokes following the direction of hair growth. Keep your skin taut with your free hand. Let the weight of the razor do the work — no pressure needed.

Never press down. The blade is sharp enough — pressure causes cuts.
04
Rinse and Check

Rinse the blade under running water every 2-3 strokes to clear hair buildup. Check your progress in the mirror and repeat on any missed areas.

Shaking the razor gently under water is enough to clean it between strokes.
05
Finish and Rinse

Rinse your face with cool water to close the pores. Pat dry with a clean towel. Apply aftershave balm or moisturiser to soothe the skin.

Cool water after shaving reduces redness and closes open pores immediately.
