Wash your face with warm water or shave after a hot shower. Warm water softens the hair and opens the pores, making the cut cleaner and smoother.
Hold the handle between your thumb and first two fingers. Keep the blade at a 30-degree angle to your skin — not flat, not steep. The gold pivot screw should point away from your face.
Use short downward strokes following the direction of hair growth. Keep your skin taut with your free hand. Let the weight of the razor do the work — no pressure needed.
Rinse the blade under running water every 2-3 strokes to clear hair buildup. Check your progress in the mirror and repeat on any missed areas.
Rinse your face with cool water to close the pores. Pat dry with a clean towel. Apply aftershave balm or moisturiser to soothe the skin.
